ROAR Australia

ROAR Australia is committed to providing abuse prevention education to children and adults based on the two Protective Behaviour’s themes,

  • ‘we all have the right to feel safe at all time’ and
  • ‘we can talk to someone we trust about anything, no matter what it is’.

The current Australian statistics of abuse on children and older people clearly indicate that we need to take immediate action to reduce the incidence of abuse in our society.  It is crucial that we, as a nation, ensure that all children and adults have the skills required to protect their own personal safety.

Our programs provide tools and strategies that empower children and older adults to help reduce their vulnerability to abuse, neglect and unsafe situations. We also offer Professional Development and education sessions for teachers, team members, parents and community members.

ROARAustralia’s passion is to help prevent abuse, reduce violence in the community and promote positive health and wellbeing.

What People Say!

“The KidsROAR program was a fantastic introduction to teaching ‘Protective Behaviours’ to our three and four year old children.

Helen and Annemarie were fun, engaging and spoke with the children in a simple and age appropriate manner on what is a very important matter.

The children particularly enjoyed the role playing and singing. Following the session, the children have continued to use the words safe and unsafe in their day to day playtime at the centre.”
